It's been a very long time since I made an entry on this website. I believe the last one was the California Mission #6 run in November 2021. Damn how time flies. Many things happened in that period both in general and personally. I'll try to quickly catch you up.
Among the many things to affect my adding to the website was of course the Covid debacle and everything that came with it, but I have to say the most impactful was I took a JOB!!!! That's right, you read that correctly, after 13 years of being retired I TOOK A JOB! I should probably add here at this point since I was 16 years old, I've always wanted to find a way to get paid to ride motorcycles and not be some kind of charitable event, although there isn't anything wrong with that. I applied and was hired by a new start-up company called "SIDE CAR TOURS". It's a Urel motorcycle and tandem sidecar chauffeur service based at 9 locations throughout California and offers wine tasting, brewery, dinner, cocktail, and scenic tours. I primarily work out of Paso Robles CA and San Luis Obispo CA. Check out their website at https://www.sidecartoursinc.com So I can proudly state "I'm getting paid to ride motorcycles so I can ride my motorcycle."
Many things are in the works for 2023 and 2024. I have worked out the routes and itineraries for 16 rides fondly called by many "CALIFORNIA'S BEST MOTORCYCLE ROADS", Some of these rides require camping in a new camper trailer, which is in the plans to acquire next year. There are 6 IBA runs planned which are spring equinox 1k, summer solstice 1k, autumn equinox 1k, winter solstice 1k, Temp to Temp 1k, and a 50 CC which is a 50 hr run from San Diego CA to Jacksonville FL that includes a 1500 mile Bun Burner, and last but certainly not least is a 7619 mile Southern United States National Park tour that will consist of 20 different states and 20 different National Parks. The total planned miles for 2023 & 2024 is a modest 24142, not counting local rides, but I'm still dreaming at the route planner so it's anyone's guess what ultimately will be the total miles by the end of 2024

THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEBSITE
Having ridden motorcycles from the age of 16 and only now having the "Great Memories", some certificates, and a ton of pins and patches, I've decided to place all my future riding experiences here until I can't ride anymore, "hopefully not for a long time."
Where I Ride
As a member of the IBA (Iron Butt Association), EWMA (Eagle Wings Motorcycle Association) formally GWRRA, and the SCMA (Southern California Motorcycle Association), my longer rides will be among the many rides they offer, as well as my own personal runs.
